Arion is currently living in
New Jersey in the United States of America, and hopes one day to go to a great
fashion college in Europe, or the 'Fashion Institute of Technology' in New York
(FIT).
Arion wants to design and make clothes. She
intends to call her clothing line, HOUSE OF ZEBRA and the designs you see here
are published as House of Zebra designs. Her inspiration to date has been
from the film character Cruella De Vil, as well as couture exotic fur fashions
from the 1920's in Paris London and Europe.
She is also inspired by some 30's and 40's fashions from those
same countries, as well as by some "baroque" fashions from the 1700's.
Arion has wanted to be a fashion designer specialising in unusual over the top
fur themed materials producing creative and exotic designs for over 8 years now.
Arion tells me that everything she designs has to be over
exaggerated, whether the items be long floor sweeping fur stoles or extremely
high stiletto's. For her creative expression to achieve fulfilment
everything she designs has to be wild, intense and over the top. She works
with different prints including Zebra which is her favourite print, Leopard,
Tiger, and other fur prints as well as solid colour fur textures.
Looking at her work I would say she could certainly find
release for her ideas in theatrical costume design and produce exotic garments
for pop star videos, costume dramas, sci-fi films and opera as well as
mainstream fashion for the more adventurous.
