Fashion Drawings by Anne Westphal - Gallery 30
Anne Westphal is 20 and a fashion design student in Sigmaringen (Germany).
Anne told me she lives to be creative and to design fashion. It is her greatest
passion. She began to draw fashion at the age of eight her dream is to
become a fashion designer. I will let Anne's work speak for itself. These are some designs Anne made in 2006.
Birds & Beads Collection - Fashion Drawings by Anne Westphal - 2006
Notice how Anne Westphal has cleverly incorporated organic forms into her
designs. The birds in her t-shirt designs intertwine along the curves of the
body. Anne is way ahead of many designers. These fashion drawings, which she did
in 2006, illustrate show
gladiator strapped sandals a big hit for summer trends of 2008.
Anne clearly favours the trend for small accessories such as the clutch
minaudière bag,
or dainty handbag. In mass production terms, a skirt like the pink
skirt above would probably use beading with laser cutting to create this lace edge.
Pretty bags embellished with beads add a fast glamour touch to casual clothes.
Anne Westphal has decorated her boots with patterns to suggest hardware. Her
halter top is
jewel studded and follows trends of the noughties. Beaded bags, boots, necklines
and jeans can take the place of lots of jewellery.

Fashion-Era.com looks at women's costume and fashion history and analyses the mood of an era. Changes in technology, leisure, work, cultural and moral values. Homelife and politics also
contribute to lifestyle trends, which in turn influence the clothes we wear. These are the changes that make any era of society special in relation to the study of the costume of a period.
