IQONS
(iqons.com) is a new on-line fashion community that aims to
have the same impact on
Fashion as MySpace had on music. Today, at a press conference
held in London, IQONS was officially launched. The site has had
a ‘soft launch’ over the last two months with events in Paris
and New York and has already attracted thousands of members.
IQONS
is a free on-line community focused on fashion and style for
everyone from star designers, stylists and fashion photographers
to fashion fans and consumers.
These members have already
found, and connected with, fashion retailers, models,
manufacturers, and like-minded people around the world. It has
rich, timely content generated by its members and has a
structure committed to providing support to new talent around
the world in partnership with established fashion leaders.

industry figures who have agreed to become IQONS. Each month
these IQONS will select, comment and offer advice to
selected IQONS members.
The
IQONS are:
February: Maria Luisa Poumaillou

Susie Bubble, an influential fashion blogger also spoke at the
Press Conference. Romina says, 'As I am starting out, I don’t
have the money to employ dedicated PR and marketing people.
From
IQONS, I have got a stockist for my clothes in Hong Kong,
got press reviews in several influential fashion magazines, and
got lots of requests from stylists who want to work with me. And
its all free!'.
Susie
says, 'IQONS is a great way for me to find out who’s hot in
fashion, right now. I have connected with, and featured, several
IQONS designers on my blog, Style Bubble'.
