Has anyone raided their grandmothers attic for fifties vintage items for this season?

I would if she had kept her things! Her kids (my dad and his brothers and sisters) had done a clean up of the house and so they managed to throw things out that was not needed. (so in other words all the vintage clothes etc) I was only about 5 or 6, so I really didn't care, but now I wish they hadn't.

Also everything that I find and grow to adore, my mum always says "I had those shoes" or "I use to own things like that" - but again, my older sister made her throw these things out because they were hideous back then. *sigh*

If you knit, whiteliesdesigns.com has a fabulous 50's beaded cardigan pattern/kit for sale.

(NAYY, but her designs are to die for).
