In the past couple of years clutch bags have been gaining
ground as the must-have bag of choice, especially for occasions
and special events. Boho hobo and shopper bags have continued to
be popular with every woman, quite simply because we have become
used to throwing everything we might need including spare fold
up low shoes, into a large bag. These days when we are often not
given a plastic carrier or paper bag at the point of purchase
our handbag doubles as a shopper too.
The fashionable alternative on the catwalk is the LARGE
clutch bag. And I do mean LARGE. And the alternative is to carry
your ordinary handbag as you might a clutch bag. In reality of
course holding heavy bag as a clutch bag can literally become a
pain in the neck. Shopping with a clutch bag is not easy in my
opinion. A clutch is for posing or sitting. I like an underarm
bag when doing practical activities like browsing store rails. I
want two hands free to gather armfuls of pieces for the changing
rooms! But some clutches do have inner chains inside them to
help you on your way and many clutch bags now come with wrist
loops. Look out for these extra features on clutch bags.
Unless you can see a clutch bag against a model in an online
picture, be wary of buying it, the clutch bag may turn out to be
either far larger or far smaller than you required or desired.
